1° Lush experience: shampoo solidi/ solid shampoos

Hi honeys! It’s been long time since my last post, so I’ve thought it was the right time for a new article.
I’ve spent time thinking about this post and at home we’ve put to the test some Lush products. Today the protagonists will be the solid shampoos.

In January, I took advantage of the sales, I did a little bit of shopping and I went to a Lush shop. It was my first time and it was very fun!
The shop I went is tiny but full of products and their flavours tell you “welcome” while you come up to the shop!
I hadn’t a wish list but I wanted to try something really useful (a shampoo) and, since that day my hair was especially frizzy, the Lush girl recommended me Godiva.

Godiva is a shampoo and conditioner in one solid product with gardenia and jasmine extracts, it’s a round, yellow bar with real dried jasmine flowers inside. I guess a lot of people, like me, don’t like jasmine’s fragrance but it isn’t so strong after the washing and the drying process and what remains is a fresh and light scent.
The Lush girl told me that a Lush solid shampoo can last up to 80 uses, that it leaves the hair light because it doesn’t contain silicones and it cleans the hair with just one wash. I have a lot of hair and my scalp is very oily, especially during winter time, for these reasons I had to use the bar twice every time and after the 16° use the bar brake in half. Anyway, the girl in the shop was right: I haven’t had hair so light in all my life! The first time I’ve used Godiva, I dried my hair without curling products and my hair was really nice and light but I think I need another solid conditioner.

My sister bought Jumping Juniper and we had a free shampoo bar tin in recycled metal. I did a little interview to know how is Jumping Juniper and I had a lot of fun doing questions and writing the answers on my block notes!
Jumping Juniper is a shampoo for oily hair with rosemary (decoction), juniperberry, lemon, lime and lavender. The description tells that this bar purifies and slows down the sebum production. The scent of this bar is very pleasant, it smells like lime. my sister’s opinion, Jumping Juniper can clean her hair with just one wash and leaves the hair clean and light. She recommends this shampoo, “like all Lush products”, to everyone and she would love to buy it again!

*How to use a Lush solid shampoo bar…
Wet both hair and the shampoo bar. Glide the shampoo bar down the length of your hair. Repeat if necessary. Create foam and massage well on the scalp and the hair lenght, rinse off. Keep the bar in a dry place. (I rinse the bar quickly before I put the bar away.)
If your shampoo isn’t 2-1, it’s better to use after a light conditioner*

Avete provato qualche shampoo Lush? Come vi siete trovate? Quale shampoo suggerireste?

In each country these shampoos have different prices but the shampoo bar tin is always free with any two shampoo bars!
This first experience at Lush was very interesting, there are a lot of products for every necessities, there are vegan and 100% natural products too!
The thing that surprised me was the staff preparation. When I went, there were a lot of people, but the Lush girl devoted time to us to explain and show us how some products work.
I think that solid shampoos are perfect for people who travel, because they are light and fit easily in every bag.
Unfortunately Godiva doesn’t last for so long, maybe because it’s shampoo and conditioner in one, maybe it’s because of my hair, but I’m sure the flowers are voluminous inside the bar.
I suggest to visit a Lush store before you buy from the online shop because there you can smell and try new products. I think next time I will buy a simple conditioner bar, I think Jungle.
Have you ever tried a Lush shampoo? What do you think about? Which shampoo would you recommend?
Stay tuned for the second post about the Lush experience.
Thanks for visiting!
